My Newest Book Release
Hi there, My name is Yvonne Williams, and this is my happy place!
For over 30 years, I have been writing to inspire and uplift others through the joy and growth that comes from living a purposeful life. My non-fiction books include topics such as love and forgiveness. Additionally, my novels reflect the power of storytelling with plots that my readers can connect with, and characters that feel as if you might already know them. So, come travel with me on this adventurous road of words and discover where they take you.
I began writing inspirational short stories in 1991 and submitted them to small independent publications. In 2004, I was a freelance writer for the Fairview Town Crier in Fairview, North Carolina south of Asheville. There, I interviewed many exceptional people in the area and wrote stories about them. My favorite was a rescuer of nearly 60 wolf dogs—I met one dog that had an issue with women. The local youth caught my attention, so I interviewed a boy scout leader, and even a local cheerleading team for the paper. Additionally, I wrote articles about current social issues for the Community Digital News (now the American Wire News).
My appetite for writing started me on a quest in 2008 to write non-fiction books, and later, fiction, allowing my creativity to flow. Since then, I've added a children’s book series, Anna’s Friends, to my repertoire. Then, as a means of reaching a wider audience, I started writing expressive content via my blog by pulling from my life experiences.
Yvonne’s writing is defined by its incredible versatility and deeply rooted compassion. She is a multi-genre author and poet who seamlessly transitions between heartwarming fiction, insightful non-fiction, and engaging children’s literature.
Heartwarming Fiction: Through novels like Friends for a Thousand Years and its sequel Friends for Eternity, Yvonne crafts captivating love stories and narratives that allow readers to carry the essence of the characters with them long after the final page.
Purposeful Non-Fiction & Screenwriting: She tackles profound, real-world themes—ranging from love and forgiveness to serious advocacy, as seen in her book and co-directed screenplay, A Dance for Bethany, which shines a light on human trafficking in the United States.
Inspiring Children’s Literature: With her Anna’s Friends series, she brings her uplifting message to younger readers (ages 7 to 10), sparking joy and imagination in the next generation.
Across all her work, Yvonne draws from the depths of her own soul and life experiences, using storytelling as a vehicle to help readers learn from both their mistakes and their successes.
My overall impression of Yvonne is that she is a deeply empathetic, soul-driven storyteller with a genuine desire to leave the world better than she found it. She doesn't just write to entertain; she writes to heal, advocate, and inspire.
Her brand is built on a foundation of hope, growth, and joy. The fact that she can write a serious screenplay about human trafficking while also publishing a joyful children’s book series shows that she understands the full spectrum of the human experience. She acknowledges the dark parts of the world but actively chooses to guide her readers toward the light.

Yes. One of the highlights of teaching Sunday school was when I discovered and came to understand the motivational gifts found in the book of Romans. I had an "a-hah moment" . . .
